I had no idea what body armoring was until I met my current therapist.
I had been doing it FOR YEARS, but I would just call it "stress" or "tension."
Once she named it for me, it made total sense.
I was putting on a suit of armor to protect against emotional warfare.
If you are reading this post, you have probably been doing this for years yourself.
You are not alone, and you CAN get that armor off, my friend.
It just takes TIME and WORK, and in my experience, some really good therapy.
This post is an intentionally short post just to introduce you to the topic and
allow you some time and space to research further.
I am not a licensed therapist, so I tread lightly on giving mental health advice, BUT I do want
to spread information that has helped me and may also help you.
